Every student takes Health Science I as a foundation course their first year in the academy, followed by Health Science 2. Students will not be promoted to the next class unless they have successfully completed these pre-requisite classes. In addition, courses such as Allied Health Assisting , Nursing Assisting, EKG, First Responder, Home Health Aide, Pharmacy and the Senior Internship require completing clinical rotations. As a result of this training, students are empowered to make decisions regarding their future career needs as well as meet the demands of the ever-changing health care industry. Students will be certified in multiple occupational exit points leading to multi-skilled, cross-trained, entry level jobs. Key features that make the academy unique:
