Philadelphia International Airport:

AIR
Philadelphia International Airport www.phl.org, is served by most major airlines. It’s located 8 miles from Center City – 20-25 minutes by car. Taxi stands are located outside each baggage claim. The flat fare rate to Center City is US28.50. The R1 SEPTA Airport Line connects five Center City stops with all airport terminals. www.septa.org. One way cost for the R1 $8. BUS
The Greyhound Bus Lines Terminal is in Center City at 11th and Filbert streets. New Jersey Transit serves Philadelphia from neighboring New Jersey cites and Atlantic-shore points.

CAR
The Pennsylvania Turnpike connects Philadelphia with the Pennsylvania Dutch attractions of Lancaster, as well as Harrisburg and points west to Pittsburgh. All the major car rental companies are located in the airport and only a phone call away.

FERRY
The Freedom Ferry crosses the Delaware River to the waterfront in Camden, New Jersey. www.riverlinkferry.com .

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is a system of buses, trolleys, subway/elevated lines and regional trains. Visitors can travel on SETPA within the entire Philadelphia region. The base fare on most bus, trolley and subway routes is US2 – exact change required-and transfers are US0.75. www.septa.org . The Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO) is also a fast, economical way to travel around Center City and to southern New Jersey. www.drpa.org/patco.

TAXI
Cabs can be hailed on the street or ordered at hotels. You can hail a cab within minutes from most downtown street corners. Many companies allow passengers to share the cost of a cab going to destination within the same area.

TRAIN
Amtrak operates rail service through Philadelphia along the Northeast Corridor from Boston to Washington and is an excellent alternative to driving or flying. If you fly into Newark International Airport because of a lower airfare these are your options on getting from Newark to Philadelphia.

NJ TRANSIT
NJ Transit's rail network provides links to the region’s other transit systems. Transfers to the state’s bus system are possible at many rail stations, while at Penn Station New York, connections are available to Amtrak, the Long Island Railroad, and the New York City subway system. At the Trenton Station, riders can connect to SEPTA and Amtrak into Philadelphia.

TRAIN
Most NJ Transit trains on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line stop at Newark Airport, which connects to AirTrain, service provided by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey that runs to the airport terminals.

AIRTRAIN SERVICE
Combines monorail from the terminal with New Jersey Transit and/or Amtrak to NYC’s Penn Station or south to Jersey cities and Hoboken, Trenton, & Philadelphia. Follow signs in arrivals to take you to the airport station. Cost to New York Penn Station $12, travel time 20-30 minutes

AIRPORT to AIRPORT
Dave’s Best Limo: 1-800-255-2378 runs vans between Philadelphia Airport, Newark, & JFK airports. Cost to Philadelphia approximately $45.

NJ TRANSIT FARES
The one-way adult SEPTA fare between Trenton and Philadelphia is $8. One-way and round-trip tickets may be purchased on board your train. However, if the ticket office is open or a ticket vending machine (TVM) is available, there will be a $5.00 surcharge per person including children (except senior/disabled tickets) One-way fare between Trenton and Newark is $14.75.
