Connie Majka
Connie is the Director of Professional Learning for NCAC. She is a co-founder of the National Career Academy Coalition, an organization dedicated to creating and supporting a national network of existing and emerging career academies and served as the organization’s president for three years. During her tenure she served on the committee that created the National Standards of Practice for Career Academies (NSOP). She is a recognized authority on the history of the creation and development of the first career academy in Philadelphia in 1969. Connie is a certified professional development provider and facilitator for Ford Next Generation Learning (Ford NGL), one of the premier programs of Ford Motor Fund Company. Connie also teaches Hula (Hawaiian dance—not the hoop!) and has a dance studio in suburban Philadelphia.
