Two-Day Intensives: From Insight to Impact

One of the best ways to understand the power and effectiveness of Career Academies is to experience them in person. These NCAC opportunities are created to provide an in-depth exploration of the academy model. These unique events occur on site at elementary, middle and high schools across the country that have achieved NCAC’s Model designation and met the requirements outlined in the National Standards of Practice.

Cost: One-day events are $250 / Two-day events are $350 / Three-day events are $450

Waipahu Intermediate & Waipahu High School | Jan 26-28, 2027

Please join us this January in Waipahu, Hawaii, for a unique three-day opportunity to gain an in-depth look at Waipahu Intermediate and Waipahu High School. Participants will begin the experience with engaging sessions at Waipahu Intermediate, followed by opportunities to explore both schools’ learning environments, connect with educators, and gain valuable insight into their programs and communities. The event will conclude at Waipahu High School, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of the students, staff, and practices that build these NCAC Model Academies.

Intensive: Freshman Academy | Feb 23-24, 2027

Join us for an immersive two-day experience exploring four JCPS NCAC Model Freshman Academies and discovering what makes them successful.
On Day One, participants will tour two of the four NCAC Model academies, gaining firsthand insight into their programs, learning environments, and approaches to supporting freshmen as they transition to high school.
On Day Two, engage in interactive small-group workshops with the NCAC team and JCPS school teams. Together reflect on the tours, exchange ideas, and explore strategies for strengthening freshman academies and creating meaningful, supportive experiences for students.
